As a warehouse logistics specialist, you store and ship a wide variety of goods. You operate transport equipment and warehouse management systems. You receive the goods, unload and record them, and store them properly. Your tasks also include regular checks on stocks and the (internal) preparation of goods for further transport.

You are responsible for casting and melting the various metals, and for assembling the individual raw materials, preparing the work processes and operating the melting systems. You are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of industrial production systems. In the event of a fault, you determine the cause of the fault and repair the faulty parts. When it comes to rebuilding and commissioning systems and machines, which are mainly controlled by computers, you are the responsible specialist (usually within a team).

You have a wide range of activities due to your combined training as a mechanic and as an electrician/electronics engineer. When assembling and commissioning machines and systems – as well as maintaining and repairing them – you are not only responsible for the mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components, but also for the electrical components and programmable controls.

You create detailed, individual or assembly drawings of mechanical and electronic components based on the designers' designs. Computer-aided processes (CAD) are predominantly used for this. The result of your work is a production-ready drawing that allows the ideas to be directly implemented into products or production facilities.

As a tool mechanic specialising in mould technology, you manufacture tools for the metal and plastic processing industry. To do this, you produce individual moulded parts according to technical drawings either on computer-controlled machines or by hand.

Your work involves the production of precision metal components using machining processes such as turning, milling or grinding. You usually work with CNC-controlled machine tools.
